Born and raised in Texas, I thought I’d live there with my family forever. But God had a different opportunity. I met the love of my life in graduate school and have since followed him around the world as the military leads. After 2 countries, 5 states, 2 children and 2 deployments in just 9 years, it’s been a whirlwind of an adventure! So I have a lot to be grateful for, vent about, learn from and share with anyone who will stand still long enough.

This is a phenomenal topic for a blog — I’m so glad that your finding my blog led me to find yours! I wish you and your family all the best as you continue to transition through this.
God bless,
Elise
Thank you so much for your encouragement and kind words. Loved your blog. I like this cyber journaling!
Very good idea for a blog. I too have a loved one currently deployed in Afghanistan.. I myself was a military brat so I did quite a lot of traveling as a kid.By the way, I LOVE Texas and most of my closest friends from my school days hail from the mighty state of Texas.
Go Texans! The life of a military family is not for the faint of heart so thank you for the support to your family and friends.
First of all, I must say that I am grateful to people like your husband who sacrifice so much on our behalf; not only do they put their lives in danger for our safety, but they also sacrifice much of the normal day-to-day activities with their families that so many of us take for granted. And for that, I say thank you.
Secondly, I think this blog is a FANTASTIC way to let others know about the struggles and joys that come with being married to someone in the military and to help connect similar families.
Lastly, I LOVE the name of this blog! So very clever!
Thank you so much for your kind words. I think it’s vital that we support one another in whatever our “calling” is. I appreciate educators as yourself…Maya Angelou once said, “At our very best, we are a teacher”….and I believe that to be true.
I am fan of this blog now . I really appricited your time and last but not list you are really doing good job dear !!! hats of !!
Thank you so much. Your blog is interesting, but technically way over my head:) Good work.

Hi, your blog has a very interesting subject. We are all grateful for the military and the sacrifices they and their families make. You commented on my FP post a couple months ago and, being a lame-o, I am just getting around to visiting the blogs of my nice commenters. Thank you.
Thanks so much.
