“Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.” Galations 6: 7-8 MSG
I grew up hearing “What a man sows, that shall he reap.” And I’ve always see it true in my life and in the life of others. So we’ve seen the movie, The Lorax (http://www.theloraxmovie.com/index.php) twice so far and it truly gets better every time. Whether someone receives the message of being an environmentalist, not losing yourself to ego or greed, the ramifications of selfishness, thinking of the future, what you would do for love or even the spiritual principle of saving mankind, no one can deny the effect of sowing and reaping.
My favorite lines from the movie:
“It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it can become.”
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better – it’s not.”
“How bad can I be? I’m just doing what comes naturally. I’m just following my destiny”.
“Let them grow! Let them grow!”
