“Blessings crown the head of the righteous.” Proverbs 10:6 NIV
I think of my daughter every time I think of a crown since like most little girls, she is obsessed with princess garb! I’ve been trying to teach her that “pretty” is how she is on the inside and not just the outside which is a difficult concept for us adults! But I hear my son say things to her like, “you’re a princess no matter what you wear” and other such comments so I think it’s getting through.
But being “righteous” is so different from being “good” isn’t it? I see it as being real, loving and knowing where you’ve come from and where you’re going, where your dependency lies and being confident and strong in what is absolute in life.
I think when I look at myself or others, I may or may not see invisible crowns on their heads based on their characters and I’m glad blessings will follow those who have them.
